SOUL TYPES

Soul Types are the various destinctions, and classifications of every single living soul that can range from the normal, and common varitions to the truely rare, and unique. While the term Soul Type/s may sound new, and fantastic it is actually quite old, and something many already know of as examples of normal Soul types are Witch Souls, and Kishin Souls. Soul Types may grant people with unusual abilities that wouldnt be seen in the average person be it the wild wavelength of Madness, or the Sway of Magic. Though aside from these normal, or average Soul Types there are some that only appear in small cases once every couple hundred years. Below are a list of these rare Soul Types that you can choose from if you so wish to have one. You may also submit your own Soul Type to add to the list for people to choose from. Please keep in mind you do not have to have a Soul Type. Soul Types cannot be used by Witches, or any Weapon races.

GRIGORI

The first Soul Type outside of the normals ever recorded, in the past it the owners of Grigori Souls have been confused with angels due to the ability to materialize, and manipulate their soul, or wavelength into a pair of wings. Grigori Souls are thought to be the purest of all the Soul Types thought to be created by a high force to counter Madness. This is due to that the Grigori Soul seems to radiate courage with their owners typically being the truely courageous type while those around them are reported feeling warm, and more hopeful when near a Grigori owner. When seen by Soul Perception a Grigori Soul looks nearly the same as an average soul except for having a pair of angelic wings sprouting from either side. Through use of a medium be it an accessory, a peice of clothing, or even a Weapon partner a person with a Grigori Soul can materialize their wavelength into a pair of wings though the style of wings depends solely on that person. These wings not only allow flight but can also be used as a form of offensive either firing feather bullets from the wings, or hardening said wings into a psuedo-bladed weapon.

ORPHEUS

One of the few rare, or unusual soul types out there, the Orpheus soul along is impossible to see even if someone has mastered a technique such as Soul Perception. The reason for this is that the Orpheus Soul exists purely as sound being heard as a soft melody by those using Soul Perception, the owner, and anyone in Soul Resonance with the owner. While in most cases it is perceived as a soft melody this often varies in other cases as the sound created by a Orpheus Soul often tells a great deal about the person's personality. Anyone with an Orpheus Soul can be partnered with any other type of soul due to the unusual ability to alter the frequency of their wavelength to match other wavelengths. While the main function of this is to easily adapt to other wavelengths by adjusting to match it, those who have this soul type can make their soul wavelength frequency to boost other wavelengths, or even negate them among other possiblities. It is assumed that due to their flexible wavelength/soul that people with Orpheus Souls have an easier time using two weapons; being able to match both foreign wavelengths.

MORPHEUS

Thought to have originated from the Orpheus, it is believed that the Morpheus Soul was a singular case when someone with the Orpheus Soul Type was swallowed by Madness, and had their soul tainted; altering the Orpheus Soul. Throughout the years as other cases of this Soul Type was seen the theory of it being a tainted version of the Orpheus has been dismissed yet it is still agreed that its related to the other Soul Type. Like the Orpheus Soul, this is a Soul Type that cannot be seen as it exists solely as spiritual sound, and while the sound varies between the Orpheus Souls, the Morphues sounds like a soft whispered lullaby. Owners of this Soul Type have their soul constantly letting out pulsations of their wavelength that induces a calming, even a drowsy-like effect on those around them. This calming effect has been channeled into different techniques in past cases such as refining it to cause an opponents body to go numb, to knock a person out, and invade their dreams, or an opposing Orpheus-like effect that calms a person's soul/wavelength, and force it to match its own frequency. Due to its calming effect the Morpheus Soul is the best soul type suited to deal with Kishin Eggs, and other forms of Madness.

MANIAI

A soul type that is rarer then Orpheus, Maniai, some claim is on equal standing grounds to Grigori. Those who have claimed to have the Maniai were sent straight into the thickest of battle with Kishin, for their souls can withstand the wavelength to a phenomenal degree, whilst using it for their own benefit. They were seen as martyrs, Kings or Queens of the battlefield. Mainly because Maniai’s roots aren’t with the pureness of heart, or the sound of one’s soul, instead Maniai belongs to the sweet and bitter discord of insanity. This soul can be clearly seen as well as heard, it is always in a constant state of flux unable to retain one single form. However there are some distinct features of the Maniai, when seen using Soul Perception. The soul is larger than any other, due to it having to contain insanity, also what seems to always be present is a crown. It is said that the first Maniai came into birth due to one King trudging through a battlefield of pure insanity and retained his mind and soul. The Maniai soul naturally radiates insanity, however due to the fact that it isn’t a Kishin, what is radiated is controlled, and gives those nearby a boost in energy. People who are said to stand near to the owner of a Maniai soul, have the feeling of strength and giddiness fill them. When a Maniai owner manipulates their wavelength, they gain a deep red crown to form on their head. Though it doesn’t give the benefit of flight, instead it allows the owner to transmit a large dose of insanity into others, without fear of losing one’s sanity. The Maniai soul type is rare, yet it gives its owner the ability to turn a group of weaklings into a powerful battalion, though the more that receive insanity, the closer the owner gets to it.
